The Top Three Things We Learned and Did Today:
- Today in science, we finished classifying rocks. We identified limestone, sandstone, basalt, obsidian, shale and marble. After that, we looked up our birthstones and recorded them with a picture in our Rock On books. We are working towards getting a Geologist Expert brag tag.
- During Daily 5, we continued learning about creating "thick" questions using the sentence starters, "What if," "What might happen," and either "Why do you think," or " How would you feel if."
- Today in gym, we played Quidditch (Muggle edition). There were chasers that tried to put a quaffle in the hoop for five points. The seeker watched for the snitch (a bouncy ball) to catch. The seeker who caught the snitch would earn 20 points. The beaters would tag the chasers that had the quaffle. If they did, the chaser would have to freeze and pass the quaffle to another chaser in their house.
