What We Learned and Did Today:
  • Today we watched a video.  It explained how the Mayan temples were covered by trees and the jungle (ice wedging and root wedging).  We answered some questions about how it happened and determined that mountains do not last forever.  Then we got into partners and gathered some materials and went outside.  The experiment we started was called Ice Rock Shake Data Sheet.  We gathered a coloured ice cubes and three other ice pieces from the playground.  We shook them in a cup and we wrote down what happened the coloured ice cube.  The cube started to lose its edges and became rounder.
