The Top Three Things We Learned and Did Today:
  • In science, we had a special guest come in to talk about rocks and the Canadian Arctic Islands.  There he studied many sedimentary rocks.  Studying the rocks, they were able to determine that a land mass was once where the Arctic Circle is and they named it Crockerland.  We learned that a geode is formed when water enters the rock with minerals and the minerals stay behind.
  • In music, Mr. O'Reilly showed us a video called Brother Bear.  He wanted everyone to sing along.  He taught us how to read music by using the riddle, "every good bear deserves fish."  These are the music notes on the lines of the staff.
  • In gym, we practiced more underhand serves for badminton using a forty degree angle and flicking our wrists.
