What did we do today?
  • In language arts, we finished our acrostic poems and poppy art.  They are hanging in the gym for tomorrow's assembly.
  • In gym, we played badminton with a new team from yesterday.
  • In science, we started our study about the ears and how sound is made.  We tested different vibration sounds to determine their pitch and frequency.
  • We also learned how our ears work.  The sound enters the ear, travels down the ear canal, hits your ear drum, which causes your hammer, anvil and stirrup to vibrate.  The vibrations cause liquid in the cochlea to move which sends a message to the brain.
  • Our fingers showed their dancing skills over keys with dance mat typing and Mathletics.
