Agenda:

- Calgary Food Bank Food Drive has started. Food donations will be collected until November 14.
- Homework: math grade 3 pg. 98-99; grade 4 pg. 57-58 due tomorrow
- Spirit club tomorrow at lunch.
- Fun Lunch is on Thursday. We are still looking for Fun Lunch volunteers, so if you have a valid security clearance and are available to help out from 11:30 am until 1 pm, then please sign up through Sign-Up Genius.
- Spelling words for this week have been sent home- quiz this Friday.
What did we do today?
- Constable Valstar came to visit us today. He talked about the gear that the olice wear and he also explained how having all kinds of emotions are ok. He spoke about the emotions scale and how we make good choices when we are happy/ok. We also learned about WITS, which stands for: walk away, ignore, talk about it and seek help.
- In gym, we played tennis. We rallied against the wall. We also practiced keeping the tennis ball in our assigned zones while rallying to each other.
- Today in math, we practiced adding sums with two, three and four digit numbers. If we finished early, we played a game called Sum It Up where we would draw cards and make numbers to add together, trying to create the biggest sum.
- During computer lab, we worked on dance mat typing.
- We also had library and worked on our opinion of whether Calgary should go ahead and bid for the Olympics.
