Top Three Things We Learned and Did Today:
  • In music, Mr. O'Reilly showed us two new songs to play on the xylophone.  One was Pirates of the Caribbean and the other was called Sunny.  Sunny is a harder song because it is fast to play.
  • We had a double block of social studies. Ms. Jones read us a book about the different ways children go to school in India.  We also had to read information about transportation in India and answer some questions.  Some students use a swing to get over rivers in the mountain areas.  They also use army trucks near the border of India and Pakistan.  They also have bamboo bridges where flooding occurs.
  • In art, we kept working on our sketches in the Whispering Woods.  We learned that the sandpaper in our kits is for sharpening your pencils and to make lead shaving to shade with. We can also use our charcoal pieces on the sandpaper, which you can tap onto paper and use our paper blender tools to colour.
