Agenda:
- Sports Day Monday morning
- Year end assembly Tuesday at 9:00am
- Report cards go home Wednesday
- Half day next Wednesday- dismissal at 12:00pm
What did we learn today?
- During social studies, we learned about the treaties, and how the government of Canada promised the First Nations people land, hunting and fishing rights, schooling and food if they moved to reserved areas. Ms. Jones read us a story about residential schools and how it affected the children who went there.
- Sa'akokoto came to visit, and he spoke to us about the importance of the summer solstice and then he told us the story of Thunder and why his people still celebrate it today.
