June 18, 2019- Revenge of the dodgeballs!

Agenda:
  • Read 20 minutes
  • Treat Day tomorrow- bring 25¢
  • Transition Day tomorrow from 9-10 am.  Students changing rooms next year will be visiting new classrooms and their teachers.
  • This Friday we are hoping to enjoy our last Fresh Air Friday up on Nose Hill. Saakokoto will be with us and will share stories of the land and Summer Solstice with each class. We require volunteers for the walk to Nose Hill. If you are able to volunteer, please let me know. We are also planning to have some fun activities up on the hill. We will head up to Nose Hill at 9 AM and return by 11:30.
What we did today:
  • In social, we continued to learn about the Francophones in Alberta.  We looked at a French website.  Ms. Jones also read us a legend about the Flying Canoe. We also learned there is a festival based on that story.  We also saw a news story about how there is a French section in Calgary.
  • In math, we learned about pictographs and how to read them.  We were given questions to solve based on them.  If we weren't finished, we worked on our geometrocity districts, but if we were done we made our our pictograph question.
  • In gym, we played revenge dodgeball.
  • The grade 3's and 4's separated this afternoon to learn about different lifecycles.  The 3's are researching animals, while the 4's are learning about puberty.
