March 6, 2020- Twitchy turbines

Important Info:

Make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather and the conditions, especially on Fresh Air Fridays.
Karen Gummo residency continues next week
Math/Science night next Thursday night from 5-7pm.

What did we learn?

  • On Thursday in science, we looked at our rust experiment and observed week two of observations. Then we made a rectangular pillar and we tested it for its strength and stability.
  • Today we did a STEM challenge and we had to build a windmill with binder clips, straws, craft sticks, and paper.  No tape or glue was allowed.  When all the groups were ready, we went outside to test them.  All our groups windmills twitched in the breeze.  Then we came inside and tested it with a fan.
  • We had stuffie day on Wednesday.  We brought our stuffies to school and we got our pictures taken at a photo booth in the learning commons.  It was a fun day.
