March 3, 2020- Super Story Day!

Important Info:

Make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather and the conditions, especially on Fresh Air Fridays.
Stuffie day tomorrow, bring a stuffie or two, or your Dr. Coffin shirt/ hoodie to show support

What did we learn?

• Yesterday in art we did a new art piece.  We used water colour paints.  We made a mountain landscape and there was many layers.  It looks very cool!
• Today in gym we started scooters as our new unit.  We played a game called spaghetti and meatballs.  The meatballs would roll a ball on the floor and try and hit the scooters.  The spaghetti noodles would try and tag people and everyone else had to avoid them both.
• For math we did our math stretch questions.  After the grade 3's finished their array questions from yesterday while the grade 4's practiced division with remainders.  Then we played math games.
• This week we had a woman named Karen come in for the writing residency.  She told us stories like How the Bear Stole the Chinook, How the Blackfoot Land came to be and the story of Wapi and the Prairie Anemone.
