March 13, 2020- Too Cold for Fresh Air Friday!

Important Info:

Make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather and the conditions, especially on Fresh Air Fridays.
Karen Gummo residency continues next week
Spring Break March 20-30th, 2020- no school

What did we learn?

  • In gym, we played Quidditch.  We would be on scooters and had jobs such as chasers, beaters and the seeker.  Beaters had to tag the chasers passing the quaffle.  Ms. Jones would throw a bouncy ball during the game which the seeker would try to catch.
  • On Wednesday, we had science.  We finished our rust test experiment.  Most of the nails that rusted were the "galvanized" nails.  They were not supposed to rust, so we will be redoing the experiment after spring break.
  • Our last day with Karen Gummo was on Wednesday.  She told us a story called Old Joe and the Carpenter.  We each got into groups and retold the story as a skit.
  • Today for social studies, we watched a video about Writing on Stone Provincial Park.  We learned that petroglyphs are images that are carved in stone while pictographs are painted on stone.
