The Top Three Things We Learned and Did Today:
  • We had a special visitor today!  Russ from Wendy's after school program came in to talk to us about the sport of skeleton.  He showed us his sled, his gear and we got to try the sled out using a live video of a real track in Germany.  We learned that there are bumpers on the sled to protect you from the walls and there are different levels of competition.  The sport was originally the first sledding sport in the Winter Olympics.
  • During Daily 5, we continued to work on making connections with our fantasy books.
  • In computer lab, we worked on Raz-Kids, where we listen to a book, then read the book and finally take a quiz.
What do we have to do next?
We need to be put into our Olympic countries before we compete in the Math Winter Olympics.  We will be MATH-LETES!
