January 23, 2018- A violin in a Tunisian orchestra.

Agenda:
  • Read 20 min
  • Study spelling words
  • Book orders due Thursday
  • Spelling test Thursday
  • Report cards will be sent home Thursday
  • No school on Friday
The Top Three Things We Learned and Did Today:
  • In the afternoon, we worked on our Tunisian centers.  The malouf is music played in Tunisia using the violin and a guitar.
  • Today in math, we continued to work on multiplication facts using "awesome" arrays.  We were given arrays and we had to figure out what the equations were.
  • In music, there were a bunch a different instruments set out.  We were allowed to try them out.  Mr. O'Reilly then told us that violins are usually the biggest number of instruments in an orchestra.  He introduced us to a tuning fork and what it is used for.
What do we need to do next?
We will be getting a catch up day to finish any of our Tunisian centers that we have not finished.
