January 10, 2018- Yay! A Blue Day

Agenda:
  • Homework: Read 20 min
  • Please make sure you are dressed for the weather
The Top Three Things We Learned and Did Today:
  • Today in music, Mr. O'Reilly shared what his favourite instrument is, which is the saxophone.  He brought one in to show us and passed around the pieces.  Once he put it all together, he played it for us and it makes a really loud sound.
  • We had a Coffin Cares assembly, and Mrs. Polski talked about what a blue day was and what it looks like at Dr. Coffin.  She also read out the names of students who have shown respect for the environment, themselves and to others.
  • This afternoon in social studies, we made a map of Tunisia that showed the imports, exports, natural resources and transportation.  We learned that they use the iron ore found in the desert to make steel.  Then they sell it, which makes the country more money and jobs.
What do we need to do next?
In social studies, we will be put into groups to complete six more centers about the Tunisian culture and lifestyle.
