What We Did and Learned Today:
  • In social, we learned where Ukraine is in the world.  We learned the names of the neighbouring countries: Romania, Hungary and Russia.  We also learned that a part of the Ukraine called Crimea has been annexed by Russia.
  • We had a bench dedication for Ms. Kestner.  She used to teach the grade 2/3 class.  Some of the grade 5/6 students shared memories about her since they were in her class.
  • In science, we learned about the different parts of a flower.  They are called the sepal, the pistil and the stamen.  We went into the Whispering Woods and found a flower to draw and dissect, looking for each part of the flower.
