June 1, 2018- Farewell, until next time Saa'kokoto

Agenda:
  • Read 20 min
  • Swimming forms due as soon as possible
  • Volunteers needed for swimming, that starts next Thursday!  Three or four volunteers would be great! :) Please email Ms. Jones at sacjones@cbe.ab.ca if you can volunteer.
  • Save the date!  This Sunday June 3rd, nine aspen trees will be planted in our Nature ground.  Volunteers are still needed to help with digging.  Please let the Environment Committee know if you can help! We would really appreciate as many hands as we can get!
Top Three Things We Did and Learned Today:
  • We collected different seeds from the Whispering Woods.  Then we had to use our sketching skills to draw the seeds we found in our Fresh Air Friday journals.
  • We did our Rocks and Minerals quiz today on the computer using Google Forms.  Once we submitted the answers we got our mark.  Please ask me what I got.
  • Today we learned about how seeds get dispersed.  Some seeds use the wind and water, while many use animals.  We learned that coconuts are floater seeds because they are hollow.  Other seed types are: fruit, hitchhikers, catapulting pods, winged seeds, and seeds with hair.
