June 3, 2019- Lines of Symmetry

Agenda:

• Read 20 minutes
• Bike to School day tomorrow
• Bring empty cereal box to school
• Whole school picture form due Wednesday

What we did today:

• In art, we did a symmetrical art project, where we had to fold a square piece of paper into either two or four lines of symmetry.  We then wrote our name in one triangle and Sharpie it.  When we folded it again, we could trace the letters to make them match.
• In math, Ms. Jones introduced the Geometrocity project to us, where we will be responsible for building a part of a city using nets and different shapes.  We had to complete a Show What We Know about shapes to show Ms. Jones we will be responsible engineers for the job.
• In gym, we started a new unit of kickball.  We were split into two teams and had turns being in field or as batters.
• During language arts, we edited our stories for too much detail, proper endings and with putting our story elements into different paragraphs.
