What did we do this week?
- Mrs. Polski read us a book about Orange Shirt Day. It was about a girl named Phyllis and she went to a residential school. She was wearing an orange shirt when she arrived but she wasn't allowed to wear it. That is why September 30th is called Orange Shirt Day.(J.N)
- Today in science we learned about shadows. We went outside 3 times to look at our shadows. The first time we had to trace our footprints so we knew where to stand. Our shadows got shorter each time we went out.(I.S.)
- We have started our CBC Music Challenge entry. We got into groups of performers, which are singers, instruments and magic. The song is called Camilo.(L.M)
- Yesterday in art we started making an oil pastel picture. We first get 4 long pieces of tape to put on the sides. We then drew a line in the middle with a yellow oil pastel crayon. Then with yellow, we coloured one side in and did the other side with blue. We blended the pastel together with paper towel before cleaning up. (T.L)
